Austin's housing is more varied than most cities. Central neighborhoods like Hyde Park, Crestview and Allandale have older homes with tight attics, pier-and-beam floors and ductwork that was added long after the house was built. Northwest Austin areas like Anderson Mill and Great Hills are full of 1980s and 1990s homes on their second or third system. Newer areas like Avery Ranch and Circle C have larger two-story homes with their own challenges. We work on all of them.
Same-day repair on most weekdays for warm air, frozen lines, leaks and dead condensers.
Right-sized systems with a Manual J load calculation, installed to Austin Energy rebate standards.
Efficient heating and cooling, and ductless units for additions, garages and sunrooms.
Gas furnaces, electric heat and heat pump heating, ready before the first cold front.
Sealing and replacing leaky ducts in older central Austin attics.
Spring and fall checkups that catch small problems before a July breakdown.
Many homes in Hyde Park, Crestview, Allandale, Brentwood and Travis Heights were built before central air was common. The AC was added later, and it often shows: undersized returns, ducts squeezed into shallow attics, and rooms at the far end of the house that never get cool.

Most homes inside Austin city limits get electricity from Austin Energy, which offers rebates of $600 to $950 when you replace a 10-year-old or older system in a 10-year-old or older home with a qualifying high-efficiency AC or heat pump. The rebate requires an Austin Energy participating contractor, who files it for you.
See our financing and rebates page for the current tiers, or ask us to check whether your system qualifies. You can combine a rebate with 0% same-as-cash financing for 25 months with approved credit.
In Avery Ranch, Circle C, Steiner Ranch and similar neighborhoods, the most common complaint is a hot upstairs. One system often serves both floors, and the long duct runs lose cooling in the attic. Balancing dampers, a second return or a zoning system usually fixes it without replacing the whole system.

Do you serve all of Austin?
We serve most of Austin, with the fastest response in North, Northwest and Central Austin near our shop. For South and East Austin, call and we'll give you an arrival window.
Can you get to my Austin home today?
Often, yes. Same-day visits are available on most weekdays, especially if you call in the morning. After-hours appointments are also available.
Will I get an Austin Energy rebate on a new AC?
You may, if Austin Energy is your utility and both your home and your old system are at least 10 years old. The new system has to meet efficiency requirements and be installed by a participating contractor. We'll tell you before you buy whether it qualifies.
My older Austin home has hot rooms. Do I need a bigger AC?
Usually not. Hot rooms in older homes are most often caused by leaky or undersized ducts and missing returns. We measure airflow room by room and fix the cause. A bigger AC can actually make humidity worse.
